‘oh, boy!’ is part of an exhibition running from may 1st till august 1st, 2012, in the historic centre of bruges. for this exhibition I made a replica of the beechcraft bonanza which meant the tragic end for the big bopper, buddy holly and ritchie valens, and tells the story of a fanatic who built his own airplane but because of the poor construction, it quickly crashed. the spectator is a disaster tourist, causing a congestion in the heart of bruges due to the curiosity factor. the plane which was supposed to be used to promote the exhibition, it became part of the exhibition itself.
