the wearable stories collection: created and designed by artist tory novikova, this avant guarde collection merges fashion with the literary arts through beautifully graphic illustration. the objective is to transform the wearer of each garment into a visual narrator and to naturally inspire intellectual conversation through the wardrobe. drawing from the classics, this line pays homage to ballet, theater, opera, poetry, and mythology. the apparel ranges from women’s dresses, to blouses, silk scarves, and men’s neckties. all of the fabric is printed in the USA and hand-tailored in the tnc studio.
the classical inspirations for the collections are: swan lake ballet by tchaikovsky, carmen opera by georges bizet, midsummer night’s dream play by shakespeare, annabel lee poem by edgar allen poe, the greek mythology of the 12 labors of hercules!
