‘wired coffee table’ by siyuan zhang

all images © hervé ternissienrecently graduated from the school of art and design in reims, france, chinese designer siyuan zhang has created ‘wired coffee table’, a hybrid furniture piece that incorporates elastic lines as a guide for users to assemble the product. currently on display at the via gallery in paris, the plexiglass table surface easily collapses, making the entire unit fully portable. the designer implies the ‘object needs to be changed between stock and use mode’, avoiding the scenario of seperation between components.
