‘lichtschlucker’ plastic cup lamps by meike harde
german designer meike harde has sent designboom images of her lighting project ‘lichtschlucker’. conceived to work in conjunction with plastic cups which normally have a very short lifetime, the different models show the great variety of shapes by different arrangement of these ubiquitous objects. the development offers table-ware items a permanent life as a decorative lamp shade. the ecological aspect consists of the fact that any product can be converted into durable and functional furnishings. constructed soldering and fusing iron into the lamps, they then become connected by cable straps.
