Werk by Tahnee Pantig for Colombo by tahnee pantig from canada
designer's own words:
the inspiration for the project was the everyday use of the object, to the point that it became unnoticed. by investing work in the action, the user pays attention, and also better appreciates the experience they have in the accessed space. production/manufacturing the product is very simple. it consists of two identically hollow rectangular prisms with a latch system enclosed in one of them. the other rectangle is used as an anchor to the door. there are many options for the material but i believe the product would best be suited to a heavier material such as steel. i imagine either a hyper-chrome finish or dull aluminium finish for the final product.
