'wavy' tile by nick rennie from australia
designer's own words:
The ‘wavy’ tile was inspired by the interaction of water flowing over the surface of rocks in a river. This movement was the driving force behind the objects design. The tile is designed as an alternative to the ever present, mundane square block, generally associated with tiles. It is a single pattern, that when rotated and placed in a sequence, becomes a beautiful sculptural element, creating a continuous wave, most appropriate for an object synonymous for its use in a water based environment, the bathroom. A scaled up concrete version is imagined for the exterior of buildings.
