this is a brass handle with two different finishes: in this way it is possible to emphasize its sinuous lines. a shell of chromed brass, where there is the contact between the hand and the handle while opening the door, wraps the main body made of satin brass. as the fingers envelop the handle, they get in touch with the soft satin surface, athwart the hardness of the shell. an incision, which also has a glossy finish, emphasizes the distinction between the two surfaces, enhancing the soft shapes of the whole handle. the same distinction between the different surfaces is replicated on the rose.
