designer's own words:

Keeping warming is the basic need for everyone, any age or place. However, many home use heaters cause high impact to the environment. Sometimes consumers are blinded by trendy looking products or cool sounding technology and forget the initial idea of what they want in a heater. Warm Touch, a redesigned space heater, operates at much lower temperatures, and instead of having to waste energy in a whole room through radiation, it is able to directly conduct heat through the feet of a user. When people get cold, the first place that most people feel is in their hands and feet. This is because the body wants to keep its core warm, so it limits blood flow and heat into the outer extremities. The conclusion is to redesign a heater that helps users to feel warm immediately by focusing on the spots where people feel cold.
