The kit emerged from a creative experimental process that began with a thorough investigation of the Apple and the context of Hirosaki, which provided information on the antioxidant potential of the fruit. Once the investigation was done, a tool called direct analogy was applied and a narrative was then made from its results. As soon as the narrative was finished, it was proposed a problem of design and a question of investigation that was solved by 20 proposals, which sought to answer how the apple might work like symbol of the eternal youth. From this brainstorm the best idea was chosen, to which other creative tool (SCAMPER) was applied in order to obtain similar alternative proposals.
The final proposal is based on the antioxidant properties of the apple of Hirosaki, which contains approximately 5mg EAC/g PF in the skin and 1mg EAC/g PF in the pulp (Yuri J.A. & Neira A. 2014) having the same antioxidant capacity as two bunches of grapes or 50 blueberries. Therefore, it is proposed to make use and publicize the above mentioned properties by means of beauty products and a ritual experience of care of the skin and relaxation. WAKAI is a product and a luxury experience, each one of its elements is based on the Apple and has as a principle the organic and the natural, combining glass containers that allow to see the translucent content with natural pieces of apple.

Wakai is a product but it is also an experience that allows us to generate an anti-stress ritual connecting us with the nature and the antioxidant properties of the apple of Hirosaki.

The senses are stimulated with WAKAI from the exploration of the texture, color and particular smell of apple, the fruit of Hirosaki.
Each product contains the informaton of ingredients of the apple relating to fragrance and texture, explain the city of Hirosaki, tell the origin of the apple and their antioxidant properties
