This is a project about the morning coffee experience. I try to increase the emotions coffee gives, by a new way to use the ceramic. I want to give life, awaken the formal shape of the cup with an innovation. The aim is to unite the cup, the saucer and the spoon into one body. I make an association between ceramic and a shape memory metal which react to the temperature, in order to get the feeling that the cup is alive. When hot coffee is poored in the cup, the shape memory metal gets warm, and transform to its final position. Have you ever seen a living Cup ?
WA'CUP, an opening flower cup. Discover a new morning emotion, and share the experience with your friends and loved one. When opening, the metal shaped petals, enhance the purity of the ceramic. It is now the most precious material, the Cup becomes a statue.
