waapiskw means polar bear in cri language. cri is the american indian of the northern quebec. this suspended lamp, polar bear hair, comes alive with graduated shading light made by an accumulation and superposition of white tie-wraps. the aspect of the hirsute and dishelved hairs makes a joyful and uncommon luminous device for young at heart.
fabrication. A galvanized iron wire netting shape in cylinder is cover with approximately 1750 white tie-wraps. a central structure made of iron rod, accept the electric wire, the socket and the 11 watt neon light bulb. it mesure 12 inches by 6 inches of diameter.
