urban_barriers by mark warren from uk
designer's own words:
in all city urban_barriers exist. these are in the form of railways, roads and rivers. these barriers are the arteries of the city, but they also provide a barrier, an obstruction, something that must be crossed. above these barriers is a space that is unused. instead of crossing the barriers with bridges, we can extend the bridge and make it into a public green enjoyable space. my proposal only shows the idea across a river, though it can easily be replicated above a railway or road.
