The universal door handle described is based on a modular design that is advantageous to both producer and user at the same time. It is a versatile handle that be produced and easily installed in left or right configurations. The design consists of a central ring that is the main part of the design concept because from one side it is connected to the opening mechanism of the door and on the other side it allows the user to attach a two part handle. The two parts are located on opposite sides of the ring and can be interchanged to install the handle in right or left configuration. The advantage of this modular concept is reduced cost for production and potential for personalization of combinations of colors and finishes. The design illustrated by us combines a gold finish of the ring with a silver finish for the handle parts but several color combinations or unified colors may be used. The materials consist of metal parts with shiny surface finishes that give a gold, silver and brass appearance. The use of basic forms is adopted for ease of production and comfortable daily use. This modular concept expands the horizon of modern door handles because of variations to the form and details can be made easily by the producer by only modifying the form of the two piece handle and not the rest of the components taking advantage of the versatility of the central ring that remains the central part of the design concept.
