umbrella recollector

umbrella recollector by Elías Krafczuk from argentina

designer's own words:

Often, we worry for one of the most important resources that we have: the water. But we do when it falls down us from the sky?.
Taking as a concept the leaves that gather the water when it rains, we design an umbrella that fulfills the same function. The same one have a position in which the top part forms a recollector cone.
The water enters for the extensible scion and there settles in a descartable bottle that is screwed on (extending the useful life of the descartable bottles), fulfilling this one the function of handle. As soon as this bottle fills with water, the umbrella is placed in a position in which the top cone stays towards out and stops depositing the water.
In addition, for the moments where we do not go out to the street, we design an adapter with which we can screw on the umbrella bigger bottles and store this resource to be used then.
Though the water of rain is drinkable, there is an interchangeable filter, which allows us to guarantee to the user the good quality of the water.
