Triangline

designer's own words:

triangline was born from the belief that you don't have to turn the world upside down in order to make something new. the concept was to look for a simple and humble typology that will shift the weight from the large volume of the mechanical area to a thin, elegant door lever without making any visual drama. the triangle seemed like a perfect form, pointing it's large mass to a single point, where the lever emerges. an angular cut at the tip of the triangle also helps shift the visual weight and makes a perfect place for the thumb of it's user. the form also enables to use a hidden rosset, that helps stay focused on the simple idea of the triangle.

triangline handle and rosset are suited for die-casting in a simple two part mold. thus making it very suited for colombo's manufacturing facilities. the materials can vary from almost all metals and can get different finishes.
