in order to save some materials, the door handle design ‘trace’ uses little amount of material by its slim handle design. the technology in ‘trace’ is ‘thermochromism’ which is the ability of substance to change color due to a change in temperature. one of the substances is ‘thermochromatic liquid crystals’ and this allows ‘trace’ to change its color when people touch it. ‘trace’ will keep its metallic color in a normal room temperature, but when someone touches it, it will turn into blue-violet. people will feel welcomed by the performance of the door handle. also, other people can know by the door handle’s color that someone has just passed the door.
