TOUCH plus

TOUCH plus by Gonçalo silva from portugal

designer's own words:

Concept
TOUCH plus, this is what I want to convey on this concept, because the blind people have a higher level of sensitivity to touch and through it communicate, read and identify objects in their daily life.
Development
This handle was developed from a conventional form of door handles. The idea is to add a small detail to the piece, this is, cross-sectional surface which create a flat surface that alters its entire form, functional and ergonomically. This area contains a recessed box for placement of labels printed in Braille communication to inform the location of rooms or room numbers in public spaces by people who are blind. At the aesthetic level, the handle allows you to create several sets of color to make it fit into the architectural environment.
