tom by nick foster from uk
designer's own words:
the tom concept allows the user to select their own personal paradise. Taking the existing voyeuristic pleasure of peeping through a keyhole, and allowing what the peeper sees to be customised, enabling new narratives and experiences. The door is designed to gently curve inwards towards the keyhole, leeding the curious eye towards it. When the keyhole cover is moved to one side, a simple LED lighting circuit is activated, which illuminates the desired image on the other side of the door. A simple magnifier is placed in the keyhole, allowing the full image to be seen.
Tom allows for multiple image options, from a clean and tidy room, to the beaches of a tropical isle.
