tina high end oled luminaire by gabriela suarez from mexico
designer's own words:
TINA is a new, versatile OLED luminaire.
TINA is designed to take advantage of the benefits of OLEDS as a new
source of light. It allows the user to experience different ways of
using light.
Its practicality consists not only in the various ways the user can
direct THE light it emits, but also in the different contexts where it
can be used.
Tina uses six transparent 100 x 100 mm OLED panels.
The OLED panels are held around an axis which allows them to rotate
according to the user’s needs, with a 180º aperture for a
homogenous light emittance or in a 72º aperture to direct light more
accurately.
Its wires connecting the OLED panels with their driver allow the
position variability, but also act as a decorative feature.
Tina has a second pivot next to its base when its either used as a
task lamp or as a wall fixture.
A wifi antenna is located inside Tina's OLED driver to be controlled
by the user with an external interface
Tina is made of anodized aluminum structures and an injection moulded
plastic switch.
