tilted / shifted by nikos fasseas from greece
designer's own words:
the design for this door handle is based on classic forms that have been interpreted through a defined geometry. the reason for this was to design an object that is contemporary but maintains its functionality and is comfortable to use. angles have been tilted and volumes shifted. the idea was to conclude with something that is simple but exiting as its angles and shapes escape from the expected.
in contrast to the smooth front of the door handle, on the back a simple triangular deformation of the surface is something for the user to discover by feeling it.
the door handle is backed by a rectangular rose that could also be placed vertically if it were to include a lock. the material used for it can be polished steel.
