The Tilekitchen

With only three forms glazed in- or outside you can construct three-dimensional forms. This project refers to grandmothers kitchen but is a perfect marriage between inventiveness and craftsmanship.

With this series of tiles you can realize a unique kitchen up to the place and wishes.
The tilekitchen brings back into view all bits that usually get erased. The no-nonsense concept for this kitchen makes quite a contrast with the kitchen-fashion of today.

Cooking is playing with ingredients and tools. Starting with cleaning and cutting you can or will have plenty of place. For the cooking you can use as many stackable stoves as required (up to 5 in this prototype). Thanks to the round edges, the drains in the sink and the removable elements the cleaning process is a pleasure.

By combining these tiles with ordinary standard tiles, man can relatively cheap-make a flexible and personal design in with the functions in the kitchen are not hidden behind a facade but remain in sight as a functional decoration.
