theodore. by shelley esplin by shelley esplin from usa
designer's own words:
theodore was created as an assignment for my industrial design class. he was inspired by simplicity. there are far too many intricate and gaudy designs out there and i think that door handles are really just meant to open doors. he is made from foam sanded painstakingly by my own hands, covered in spackle, sanded some more, primed, sanded, and spray painted. my teacher told me to add a more distinct collar and to make him lighter, and I did for the assignment, but I prefer him this way so for the competition i am submitting the original. i am an industrial design student at brigham young university in provo, utah. i know that i am competing against many more experienced people and i am not really expecting this to go anywhere, but i enjoyed the challenge and i hope you enjoy the outcome.
