There are many ways to show “Motion”.
“Motion”, in my opinion, can be the communications, collision, and fusion between different cultures.
Furthermore, the word itself is a kind of condensed and representative culture.
This work represents the differences and the equalities between the two alphabets - Tongyong Pinyin and Taiwanese Bopomofo – from the motion which comes from the interactions between people through the media, book.
Wish to find the balance and common point in two cultures through the kind of interaction to stimulate the observers’ identification and consonance of different cultures.
The “Motion” that the series of the word - “Yuan” wants to represent is the interaction, which is easily happened between human and objects, is the fusion happened incidentally of two different cultures and the “Motion” seems slow, invisible but powerful.
