designer's own words:
For exclusive beer lounge, we recommend ‘The Rotation Bar’, where high quality international Beck’s beer is served. A row of beer seduces while moving slowly around the wall of a glowing red conveyor rack. With each passing of a Beck’s bottle, the rotating installation creates an effortless warm strobe.
Arriving at ‘The Rotation Bar’, you are greeted by a large glass door. The glass door pivots on center, and is kept open at an angle while the bar is open. This glass panel is repeated inside as a division piece between the register and the DJ booth.
The floor is made of resin with grass print, giving the sensation of being in an open field in the middle of the night. The feel is simply put as ?urban nature?. Mahogany red walls and delicate hanging lights provide sophisticated yet soft ambiance. Low leather couches and black walnut tables are arranged throughout the large open space.
The intimate atmosphere makes it an ideal place to relax with friends and socialize. This bar is frequented by independent, outgoing, intelligent people who know what they want and where to get it.
When entering the bar, pick up a Beck’s key at the receptionist counter. This key will allow you to unlock a beer. Every time the key is used, the purchase is registered into the bar’s database. When you leave, return the key to pay the bill.
The designers’?concept is to reflect the identity of Beck’s through integrating Beck’s Key into the bar system. The rotating conveyor rack functions not only as a point of purchase, but act as a Beck’s showroom. The rack also ciculates back to a stockroom where fresh cold beer is always being reclamped into the beer clasp. This way, you can always expect the ideology of “Keeping it Fresh.”
