the idea was to explore the phenomena of the knot and it was done through sketches and physical models. the experiential models were made along with careful study which was done to calculate the comfortable human grip and was documented using clay as it is a medium which was found very sensitive towards pressure applied by human palm and fingers. after the documentation in clay, it was made permanent by baking the clay model in the kiln. then, using the mould and cast technique, a cast was obtained in plaster so that it could be worked on. step by step using sand paper and carving tools,the knot was designed to the the user to an ever lasting experience!
