the handles by Brian Calderon Brian from usa
designer's own words:
i have designed four door handles for all different types of interiors. the door handle to me represents a product that you interact with all the time but consumers really don't pay attention to the small things.
the first door handle is the craftsman this door handle would be forged for durability and the finish would be in a highly polished steel, but the handle would have a place to have a wood insert and the wood would be the consumer choosing. i call it the craftsman because it could be modern or transitional and it has the feeling of warm wood.
the second handle is called the key, the reason i called it the key was because i looked at different key holes through out history and this is my take on a key hole. this design would be sand casted out of metal and have a brushed aluminum finish and have a slightly rough feeling so that way the consumer has an interaction with the door handle and it becomes part of the interior and not just another object.
the swirl is a whimsical design and it is intended to fit all types of interior's, the handle would also be sand casted but in two different metals the back plate would be chrome and the handle would be black chrome, the reason for this would so the consumer can have combines metals in there interiors and not have to be forced to pick one metal of the other.
the last handle is called the loft, this design is intended for the trend consumer, this would also be sand casted but have a black aluminum finish highly polished, this handle is modern and has a sleek design and is made to stand out and become a talking point.
