the greenhouse by sander brouwer from netherlands
designer's own words:
“The greenhouse” is a social area that is inspired by nature. Nature can be characterized as a place where everybody is equal. So, the social levels between people are also equal. In a place where people are getting together to have a drink social levels must be forgotten to have a nice atmosphere to be in. “The greenhouse” can be interpretated as an area that is equalized in it’s social levels to stimulate the social aspect.
The tree is the symbol for uniting people. Inside this area people are gathering around the tree to have a nice time with friends and drink beer. The tree is a modular build-up of one roto-moulded piece.
Inside of “the greenhouse”, the projection of the Beck’s logo on the walls, can be considered as birds flying around the area. This projection emphasizes that you are standing in a natural environment. The red and green blocks are made of polyurathane foam , that means that they are easy to handle and can easily be moved. In this way people can create their own space in which they want to have a good time.
The entrance of “the greenhouse” is a stairway that lands into the space. On top of the stairway you will have a perfect overview of what is inside the area. This will enthusiast the visitor by entering “the greenhouse”.
