The flowering quotes is a simple gift that binds the Matsuyama residents with the tourists.
Local flowers are collected & made into dried flowers by the Matsuyama residents. Meaningful quotes by local poets / writers such as Masaoka Shiki and Natsume Sōseki are hand-written on translucent or transparent paper, which are used as protective package for the dried flowers, and turned into a bookmark しおり / card holder / door knob hanger, etc.
The flowering quotes are given for free to all tourists visiting Matsuyama. It is a perfect combination of the rich local literature works & local flowers & local residents' blessing to the tourists.
