the 'coltello' door handle. by kevin dickinson from south africa
designer's own words:
this door handle drew on inspiration from the forms of a knife. the shape of knifes lend many details to draw on and use for new contemporary handle designs. the design uses the curved form of some knifes. this shape also lends itself to be very ergonomic and fits the hand where it makes contact with the handle very nicely.
the front surface has a indent inwards as well as the colombo logo added into that indentation to create another visual detail.
this design uses standard door handle internal mechanisms so that the design can be adapted to these easily almost anywhere.
