The Cap Shades by Sei Shimura from usa
designer's own words:
The Cap Shades concept is inspired by baseball players wearing sunglasses on the field under the cap. The combination of wearing both can get bulky due to the temple and hinges of the sunglasses overlapping with the crown of the cap. When the sunglasses are not in use, it has to be resting on top of the cap brim and has a tendency to not be secure.
The solution to this was to merge the flip sunglasses and the brim of the cap. The frame has flip hinges so the lenses can be stowed away when not in use. The elimination of the sunglasses temple will allow for a natural fit of the cap.
The construction of this product is mainly focused on the joint of the glasses frame to the brim.
The cap and the lenses are constructed separately until the last phase.
The frame and hinge of the glasses is designed to be very slim and ergonomic, and blends into the brim.
This concept can work with any type of cap such as visors, trucker caps, and snapback caps as well.
