the art of folding by patryk gwiazda from germany

in this project i wanted to focus on two main things. first of all, i wanted to find a connection between the essence of the brand Infiniti and its origins, to go back to its roots and confront them in a way. this is why the main idea was to find the contrast between the geometric perfectness in designing and creating a paper-object (origami) and the light curves that make Infiniti cars so unique. then, to make it more contemporary and strengthen the abstract aspect of the project, i decided to transform the objects in a more technical and particle-like way, rather than to just fold them. this showed also the extreme complexity of the car, hidden skillfully behind the beautiful simplicity of its design. the objects, that i've chosen refer and represent motion, too.
