designer's own words:
i wanted to design a door handle that goes along with the philosophy of universal design. any one based on age, or disability could use this handle and still recognize that it is a tactile way of opening a separation between spaces. i also wanted to utilize the current hardware on the market that it will work with, but make it more of something a customer could really own. what i mean by that is that the idea was to make the handle customizable and can be made from many different materials such as wood, metal, composites, and plastics. this could make this one design be used in more markets that could suit a persons mood, a company or persons style. my inspiration came from profiles of sexy sports cars, design within speed, and futuristic aircraft.
