telescope is an experimentation of a retractable door handle. there are cases that some spaces and therefore their doors either are rarely used or there is this need in public spaces to make some areas more private and in a sense to create small obstacles for people to enter these spaces. the question therefore is why to have a door lever hanging there and expecting, or even welcoming, people to use it, when we do not use it or when we do not want other people to use it.
for this reason, the lever in telescope is retractable and when retracted it minimizes its volume and thus occupies less space and also it is less welcoming for people to use it.
