designer's own words:

The “Recyclers” is a project that comprises various designs for daily use and constructed entirely from recycled or repurposed materials. “White Knight” is a table lamp created in the concept of “total recycling”. The structure of it is assembled from pre-existing objects only slightly altered. The skeleton of the shade is made out of a hamster wheel. Between the inner vertical dividers are interwoven torn tissue papers. The un-even edges of the tissue provides for an organic shape and alternating light patterns. The tissue paper can be replaced thanks to simple weaving techniques. The legs have been made from an old lamp shade, the feet are shampoo caps, and the lid is created from used window glass. “White Knight” is an industrial collage where uselessness is transformed into defined and illuminating purpose.
