superstrings by from
designer's own words:
This scenography is sculpted from a series of 70 cm wide 'superstrings' that make up everything from seats, tables, stands, desks, exhibit podiums, the bar and the entrance in large vibrating movements. Similar parts of strings energise the ceiling and offer additional shelves for exhibitions.
The scenography encourages your free choice and is directly targeted to creatives on the move whose 'job security' lies in their ability to constantly reinvent themselves and treasure life as one long series of jittering and vibrating changes. They understand that every soul is a key to a certain path, that you only have to find it and be open towards it, but also that you are embraced by a large vibrating movement in everything you do.
In this way, the superstring scenography offers - as does the theory - a key to uniting the world of the large and the world of the small. This is where you scrape off all the hype of man made designs to find a clearer view of the world, illustrated by the two mega panels.
The Beck's logo is found at the bar and on every beer in the outlet, but is otherwise underplayed visually. Instead, a new general tag line should be introduced: 'Unlock yourself'.
Finally, if a large scale design or art exhibition is planned, the area can be left completely without chairs and table lamps, and the strings can be used fully as presentation podiums.
