designer's own words:
"Stolp" is a rapid food cooler for daily use in the non professional kitchen of the future. Like a toaster or a water boiler this product might find a spot on the kitchen counter or dinner table but it might as wel be used in an outside context, next to the BBQ-grill for example.
"Stolp" aims to close the gab between stove, BBQ, oven or grill and the ordinary refrigerator. Strong peltier units enable the device to rapidly cool down freshly made hot soups, sauces, vegetables or even a roasted chicken. The possibility to handle these very different types of food (and their containers) is due to a special mixed system of direct cooling and channelled cooled air. Combined with a configuration that is adaptable to the content, (multiple volumes are possible) a good efficiency and cooling rate can be achieved. An easy interface makes it possible to follow-up the cooling proces in a intuitive way. a ring of LED's lights up a piece of the transparant part. Red for hot but also dangerous, green for safe to put in fridge.
(blue for "cold" is ofcaurse also a good option)
