Spiky R is a table lamp that aggressively demonstrates the lightness of the OLED-technology with an extremely filigree load carrying construction. The shape combines the smooth OLED-light with the contrast of hard edges and exceeding spikes. Nearly all parts of the lamp can be manufactured with laser cutting that allows a cost effective production and a reliable shaping. The constructed prototype presents not only the eligibility of the manufacturing process but also the stability and the look-and-feel of the design. Spiky R features a wired controller that is operated with a gentle touch to turn on and off or to dim the incredible light.
