Sparsh - is a product that allows the visually impaired people to anticipate the level of liquid while straining any hot liquid like tea.

India is a country where majority of the visually impared population resides many of whom fall in low income class. Even with sound based liquid level indicators available, most of them don’t buy it as they consider it to be additional product and also expensive .
While straining tea in India, most of the visually impared people use their fingers to anticipate the liquid level of the tea in cup and in that process burn their fingertips.
My proposal after doing research for blind people was to design a low cost liquid level indicator that helps them anticipate the level of liquid in the tea. ' Sparsh ' in Hindi language means touch

The Low cost liquid level indicator consists of 3 parts , 1. The Frame , 2. the float and 3. the strainer.
The strainer is removable ,making the product multipurpose . It can be used to even indicate level of soup or any hot liquid in a bigger diameter bowl also

The frame is made up of injection moulded plastic . the strainer is of steel mesh while the float is made up of plastic which is hollow from inside
