The concept of this floor seating was born from explorations with various materials while working with the brief ‘Converting 2D into 3D while creating volume”. Taking the exploration forward the idea was to create a contrast between the visual and tactile response to the product. The first impression created by the visual is something harsh and spiky, emphasized by the contrast of the color as well, which is a paradox from the soft and comfortable feel of the product.
The product is completely hand done using felt as a material. The felt has been cut into strips and individually felted after which units have been created and stitched together generating seamless volume.
