By 2050 we will need three earths to support our current energy consumption this is before we even consider the rise of the developing world, growing at twice the rate of developed countries. Solar looks forward providing a personal item for children in these countries allowing them to have light inside in a range of customisable positions suited to different situations, whilst also being able to customise the recycled material, produced from a range of materials. This connection between the product and the user is unique especially in developing countries as few children have personal items they can call their own. Bringing light to more children will increase out of school study time and hopefully lead to better education throughout developing countries, whilst also being sustainable for the environment using solar technology and recycled materials.
