the concept addresses the problem of continuity of form. the key to the concept is using round edges so that the handle seems to be shaped by a continuous ribbon. the idea of the visible joint treated in the same way, with round edges, is to mark the articulation and to keep the continuity of form when the handle is turned. the manufacturing process may involve casting, sawing, grinding, polishing and anodising. the slits that outline the shape would be made with deep metal engraving. the proposed material is anodised aluminum.
