KEM STUDIO is a small group of architects and designers who share one big philosophy - BETTER DESIGN, BETTER LIVING. Skate Bench No.1 started as a side project for the studio following a trip down to the local skate shop. After exploring different concepts for a more "modern" interpretation of the common skateboard bench, a prototype was made, photographed, and put up on the studio's website. The concept started receiving attention from around the world very quickly and was lucky enough to be published in "1000 Product Designs" by Eric Chan.
Realizing its potential, KEM STUDIO refined the design, started working with local manufacturers and artists and are now offering pre-orders on KickStarter to help get their grassroots project off the ground. The final design is available in 5 different colors as well as brushed and polished stainless steel finishes.
