Things with an interesting form could stimulate the curiosity of users easier.
Especially seeing lamp in a unusual form, there shouldn't be only me, who is wondering how electricity is flowing or how it is working.
SISO is a table lamp with a body of silicon material, a name derived from the english word seesaw, which is related with balance.
SISO has been made on the basis of geometric shapes. Through the truncated cone shape, cylindrical bars across the bottom of the body and a Iron balls placed in the pit carved on the top the user may try to guess how to use. Through the fuzzy copper pipe stuffed into a body made of silicon and the copper pipe and a iron ball on the top can be easily predicted what to do.
There is a famous saying, form follows function. The form also helps or leads the user to guess easily how to use. And a product, that has such a clever form, should be a good one. In addition, it would be better if the user can feel the fun while using.
If you flip the lighting, a LED can easily into the socket. Even if the user touch the exposed cooper pipe on the top side, there is no problem from the using 12v for LED.

As production methods has used an interesting casting process.
Instead of (separately) producing the casting mold of required forms modeled with a CAD program, many existing stuffs were used for the casting mold, that are already made at the end of many considerations. Cutting and attaching only the necessary parts from flower pots, food containers, take out coffee cup and cap of the cosmetic container the casting mold was made.
Nowadays many products are being produced in a stylish minimalistic design that has in the end a similar form without the big considerations.
To produce something with another geometric shapes, rather than making another casting mold, through different production methods (but not easier) there could be a chance to think this phenomenon once again.
