Functional, robust and environmentally sound, Simplas offers a stylish alternative seating solution. The body of the chair is rotationally moulded from recycled plastic, and can be produced in any colour desired. The manufacturing process is suited to both high and low volume production runs, allowing the consumer a high level of customisation. The hollow Simplas utilises the natural elasticity of the plastic for comfort, although extra padding could be used if desired. Simplas removes timber from its traditional structural role in furniture, and features it as an aesthetic element only. This allows ‘lower grade’ timber to be used, taking advantage of either scrap from the sawmilling process, or select pieces of more decorative cabinet grades if desired.
