serendipity

serendipity by yumi chon from korea

designer's own words:

These textile designs are fabricated using discarded teabags. The small, deconstructed teabag components, gained after drying and unfolding, were patch-worked together to fabricate recycled textile pieces and the finished product can be used as a window shade or room divider engaging people’s attention on environmental issues.
By finding the remained beauty in discarded materials and re-presenting it to the public through various interpretations, I believe that we, designers can influence consumers’ ways of seeing and change their perception of sustainability at long last.
