When you use a door handle to open a door, a part of the palm of your hand pushes down and the thumb assumes a position vertical to the rotation axis. A wider handle softer to the touch at the point where the palm pushes down provides an easier and more pleasant grip and a soft concavity at the respective point ensures a more comfortable position of the thumb. These ergonomical observations-decisions led me to this to this door handle that aesthetically is simple but “not too much“.
