The purpose of Scanwheel is to make portable and interactive "maker" philosophy. Thus we suppress the limitation of desktop machines and do anywhere machines. It design also can solve problems of space storage.
Also the existing hand scanner might be complex on the use and quality because of the hand tremor and problems of balance.

Scanwheel can turn on two wheels independently to achieve any measure of diameter and scan an object in the center of the circle.
Laser can measure distance and reposition itself to make a correct scanning of the model.
3D generated models can be displayed on the smartphone through wireless connectivity or stored for later viewing or editing.
