About "RONG"
"RONG" of Chinese characters as the meanings of - "melting" and "fusion". Our design was try to made people to feel time elapsing by using different material to display the period of melting.
—Initial melting is "Rong" in Chinese in the first stage, but also the first stage of accumulating force to break barriers. The subsidence curve edge of the stool represents that the object begins to melt. In this design, wood represents supporting. Cement represents the fluid in a solid condition.
—Flowing is "Rong" in Chinese in the second phase, namely the fluid converges to the collapsing gap and begins to flow. We try to exaggerate the shape of the legs of the side table making it as a drainage channel after melting.
—Pouring is “Rong”in Chinese in the third stage,The fluid pours from top to bottom by gravity.We use cement board as the roof of the cabinet and create water-pouring effect on the board.
