the "rockabilly" door handle is a plastic door handle that is shaped like a faceted rock. The geometry was achieved by experimenting with blocks of foam and a knife, constantly checking for the way it felt when held and turned. The final two prototypes where then made into molds. clear polyester was poured with the axis held in place. the finishing was applied using a rotating sanding machine. Different colors could be used to create a range of door handles.
