designer's own words:
"Ringo Pavilion" is a gallery for apples and also a lounge for people. The ribbon structure that was inspired by peeling an apple stands by twisting and tangling. People can appreciate the exhibits smoothly along the curving wall.
"Ringo Pavilion" is an art space, and also a tourist information space about an apple in Hirosaki, and furthermore, it is at once a wall and a furniture such as a bench and a table. People can appreciate the exhibits and try the apple f&b with sitting on the ribbon.
"Ringo Pavilion" has a site-specific surface like an apple peel that is lacquered by Tsugarunuri(Japanese lacquer) and the other side is pasted by Aomorihiba(wood).
"Ringo Pavilion" is easy to have a sense of familiar for the people of local and all over the world.
